Annual Letter
from Carol Kane: Founder/President of the Mustard Seed
The Mustard Seed: 25 Years
Dear Friends, Volunteers, and Financial Supporters
Thank You for Twenty Five Years of wonderful memories of all the
people we have helped and all the smiling faces of the children,
the beautiful letters, your prayers and food you brought me for
lunch just to say thank you .
As 2010 will be my last year full time at the Mustard Seed, I hope
you all know how much I have appreciated your help in donating
your furniture, household items clothing and your financial
gifts. I also want to thank everyone at Clear Channel for their
many years of having fund raising events for the Mustard Seed. I
want to thank the hotels, furniture stores and foundations for
their support. I also want all the volunteers to know how much
your help has meant to me and this organization. You have been a
real blessing to me. As you know I can’t do the work that needs
to be accomplished by myself as I did for many years.
I would like at this time thank those who believed in my vision,
my husband John Kane and Chuck McNaulty. I especially want to
thank everyone who provided the beautiful building and the land
that I have been able to enjoy the last ten years. It has been a
real blessing to come to work every day. For fifteen years of
the twenty five years I have worked out of my home and rented
warehouses to store furniture and household items. I will never
forget the first item I received. It was a sofa from one of my
neighbors.
During these trying times I have been constantly in prayer for
the financial needs to keep our doors open and continue God"s
work in 2009. We are still able to furnish furniture for around
100 homes a month and bless hundreds of families with clothing.
Christmas was a great success again in 2008. Thousands of gifts
have been given to children who would not have been able to have
a Christmas. Thanks to all of you who brought new gifts so we
could give them to the families.
As I close this letter I will be asking you to keep us in your
prayers and may the blessings of God be given to you in this New
Year. I will be with Gods blessings at seventy years of age be
available in 2010 for all fund raising events, speaking
engagements and for all who would like me to give them
personally a tour and hear the story of the Mustard Seed.
With Love To All,

Carol Kane,
Founder/CEO
