The Mission of the Mustard Seed Furniture and Clothing Bank is to provide household goods, furniture, clothing, toys and books to those who have suffered from natural or personal disaster and who demonstrate the desire to rebuild their lives and become self-sufficient. The Mustard Seed helps an average of over 100 traumatized families a month regain their dignity and independence.
The Mustard Seed is holding an Online Auction with 10 of Orlando’s Most Eligible Bachelors! This benefit is entirely sponsored so ALL of the money raised goes to the Mustard Seed. Winning bidders will be whisked by stretch limo to an elegant meal at Journeys of Alaqua Restaurant in Longwood.
The Mustard Seed is planning our next event "Chairs 4 Charity". We are looking for artists to create a “One-of-a-Kind Chair” art piece to be auctioned off during the event. The Mustard Seed will provide the chair, as well as a ticket to the event for the artist and one guest a $150.00 value. The artist will also be provided a space to display at least two other original pieces of art during the event. Our first event attracted over 40 artists and is the premiere fundraising event for The Mustard Seed.
Holland Pools wants to give back to our community and donate, in your name, $250 to The Mustard Seed.
Family First Property Preservation has partnered with The Mustard Seed to donate back 10% of fees generated by referrals. All usable furniture and clothing cleared from homes will be delivered to The Mustard Seed to be given back to Central Florida families in need.

The Mustard Seed: 25 Years
Dear Friends, Volunteers, and Financial Supporters
Thank You for Twenty Five Years of wonderful memories of all the people we have helped and all the smiling faces of the children, the beautiful letters, your prayers and food you brought me for lunch just to say thank you .
As I have retired as of February 1, 2010, I hope you all know how much I have appreciated your help in donating your furniture, household items clothing and your financial gifts. I also want to thank everyone at Clear Channel for their many years of having fund raising events for the Mustard Seed. I want to thank the hotels, furniture stores and foundations for their support. I also want all the volunteers to know how much your help has meant to me and this organization. You have been a real blessing to me. As you know I can’t do the work that needs to be accomplished by myself as I did for many years.
I would like at this time thank those who believed in my vision, my husband John Kane and Chuck McNulty. I especially want to thank everyone who provided the beautiful building and the land that I have been able to enjoy the last ten years. It has been a real blessing to come to work every day. For fifteen years of the twenty five years I have worked out of my home and rented warehouses to store furniture and household items. I will never forget the first item I received. It was a sofa from one of my neighbors.
During these trying times I have been constantly in prayer for the financial needs to keep our doors open and continue God"s work in 2009. We are still able to furnish furniture for around 100 homes a month and bless hundreds of families with clothing. Christmas was a great success again in 2008. Thousands of gifts have been given to children who would not have been able to have a Christmas. Thanks to all of you who brought new gifts so we could give them to the families.
As I close this letter I will be asking you to keep us in your prayers and may the blessings of God be given to you in this New Year. I will be with Gods blessings at seventy years of age be available in 2010 for select fund raising events.
