• A reputation for environmental stewardship and problem-solving.  About 85-90% of the contents of a mattress or boxspring are recyclable if the unit can be broken down to its component parts- high quality grade steel, foam, Dacron, and cotton.  There is great value in removing these items from the waste stream.  Additionally, mattresses are a nuisance to solid waste handlers.  They are bulky, do not compact well in landfill, and they create flammable air pockets.
• Since the inception of our Mattress Recycling Program we have successfully recycled over 6,500 mattresses saving 149,000 square feet of landfill space, that’s over two football fields!
