March 1, 2011 – Orlando, FL –The Mustard Seed has evolved from a Furniture Bank to an environmental “Green” non-profit recycler funding furniture distribution to families and individuals who are on the road to self sufficiency. We here at The Mustard Seed are not only giving back to the community but to our environment. In addition to lights, cardboard, paper, appliances, electronics, Styrofoam and plastic bottles, The Mustard Seed recycles mattresses and has already diverted 3500 units from the landfill, saving over 80,500 cubic feet of space….. March 22, 2011 – The Mustard Seed Furniture and Clothing Bank, the only non-profit furniture bank in Central Florida, is currently facing a critical need for all types of furniture. The Mustard Seed is in need of the community’s generous donations to assist Central Florida families and individuals in need. Now through Friday, April 29, 2011 donate one, two or ten pieces of furniture and be entered to win a Wi-Fi Kobo Border’s E-Reader pre-loaded with 100 classic books. April 21, 2011 – Chairs 4 Charity 2011 – Twenty-two artists and celebrities have designed hand crafted one-of-a-kind art chairs to be auctioned off at The Mustard Seed of Central Florida’s upcoming premier fundraiser, Chairs 4 Charity. This is the third edition of this popular event and we could not be more excited! Chairs 4 Charity will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. at the Sheraton Downtown Orlando,400 W. Livingston Street, Orlando, FL 32801.
