Who can you refer to the Mustard Seed?
At this time, we are revising our referral guidelines, our referring agency requirements, our client requirements and our client applications. We are hoping to be able to better serve the community by having a standard set that will be equal across all of our referrals. This will assist us in streamlining the referral process, thereby allowing us to help more clients in a shorter amount of time.
We will be requiring any referring agent or agency from August 1, 2010 forward, to sign and adhere to the new guidelines and to instruct your clients regarding the new processes.
We thank you again for all of your efforts on behalf of your clients and are excited to move forward in this capacity with you. Please join us in broadening our serving abilities by unifying with us in these new processes.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call 407-875-2040 ext. 16 and speak with DeLacy Healey.

• The Mustard Seed Furniture Bank is a once in a lifetime
benefit. Please help us reduce the number of applicants that we
will have to turn away by asking your clients if they have
received furniture from us before. If so, they are not eligible
for more furniture unless they have had an uninsured fire or
similar circumstance documented by the Red Cross, Fire, or
Police Department. One of the first things we do with an
application is to look up the name and social security number in
our client database to verify eligibility. Note that they
may still be eligible to visit the Clothing Bank which does not
require a referral letter.
• Make sure that your client brings all supporting
documentation and the processing fee to the initial visit to the
Mustard Seed. Please make them aware of our operating hours. Items are based on availability, we cannot guarantee they will receive all items listed. We are a first come first serve basis. |
