The Mustard Seed needs volunteers in our furniture and clothing
warehouse, the administrative offices and for special events. Interested in
Volunteering?
Please contact Carol Kane at (407) 875-2040. She will welcome individual volunteers, or assist you in
coordinating a group effort by your business, club or social
organization. |

Our generous volunteers help keep our operating expenses down,
but we are in constant need of more volunteers to assist our
staff in serving our client families. Some typical volunteer
opportunities include: |
Administrative Offices - We need volunteers who can give us
a half day or an entire day or more once-a-week, or even
once-a-month. Assignments might include computer data input,
general office filings and mailings, assist with
marketing/public relations and fund raising events.
Clothing Bank - Volunteers assist our clothing
manager in sorting, counting, hanging and displaying the
thousands of items of clothing that we receive each month.
Volunteers are also needed to work directly with families to
help in completing their paperwork, as well as giving
general information and answering telephone questions related to
the
clothing bank.
Furniture Bank - Volunteers are needed to help
receive, clean, refurbish and inventory furniture as well as
assist families in selecting furniture and loading it into their
vehicles.
Toys, Linens and Housewares - Each of these
areas needs volunteers for counting, cleaning, sorting and
arranging the items on shelves in each of the departments.
Maintenance - Are you handy with tools or a
paintbrush? Can you help with plumbing, electrical, or landscape
